Pick The Best Glasses for Your Face Shape
First of all you must figure out what shape you face is. To do that simple take a look in the mirror.
Ask yourself 3 questions:
- What is the widest part of your face? Your forehead? Your cheeks (cheekbone)? Jaw?
- What is the shape of your jaw? Rounded? Square? Pointed?
Then
3. Do you have a long face or a shorter one?
If You Have a Heart-Shaped or Triangular Face (You likely have a shorter face)
A heart-shaped or triangular faces usually have a wide forehead, narrower jaw line, high cheekbones and a narrow chin.
Look for frames that will add width to the chin area.
Tips
- Wayfarer or cat-eye styles are great for balancing a triangular shaped face
- Round frames in lighter colors soften a wide forehead
- Frames that are wider at the bottom than the top help offset the narrow chin
- Avoid frames that are decorative at the top or that are wider at the top than the bottom

- The smaller the height of the frame the more thinner the round face tends to look
- Glasses with high or mid-height temples help lengthen a round face
