What are flexible spending and health savings accounts?
Flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA) are programs that allow you to set aside money (before taxes) for specific health care expenses. If you’re unsure whether or not you have an FSA or HSA, please check with your employer or insurance company.
What can I purchase with my FSA or HSA?
Eyewear Insight accepts FSA and HSA dollars for all prescription eyewear purchases (including prescription sunglasses, progressives, and readers!) and exams, as long as your FSA or HSA card is affiliated with a major credit card.
If you would like to use your FSA or HSA card to pay for a portion of your purchase and apply the remaining balance to a different card, please call us at 866 217-5878, 9 a.m.–7 p.m. PT daily or Text 213 769-8009 . We would be happy to set that up.
What’s the best way to place my FSA or HSA order?
*The first thing is to double-check the balance on your FSA account.*
You can place an order online, using your FSA or HSA card as you would any other credit card, or by giving us a ring at 866 217-5878, 9 a.m.–7 p.m. PT daily or Text 213 769-8009 . Make sure you have an up-to-date prescription and pupillary distance (PD) – which you can measure yourself check here on how.
When is the cut-off for placing an order online with FSA dollars?
Check with your carrier for details on your plan. It may be at the end of the year – Monday December 31st  2018
Can I buy prescription sunglasses with my FSA or HSA?
Yes you can!
Can I split payment between my FSA and a different card?
Yes! My prescription has expired. What now?
Get an appointment with an eye care provider and have your prescription renewed – it’s always a good idea to check every couple of years depending on your age and health condition (discuss what’s best for you with you provider)

How do I get a receipt?
We’ll include an electronic receipt with your order confirmation email. You can access your receipts through your account or by emailing us for copy
Can I return an order paid for with my FSA or HSA?
We have a 365 day, questions-asked return or exchange policy for all of our eyewear, and are happy to exchange your frames for a different pair if you aren’t satisfied. However, you must check with your insurance provider before requesting a refund to an FSA card. Unlike HSA, FSA funds must be used during a defined time period. For some insurance plans, your funds will be forfeited if you request a refund.
