Pick The Best Glasses for Your Face Shape

Ask yourself 3 questions:

1.  What is the widest part of your face? Your forehead? Your cheeks (cheekbone)? Jaw?
2.  What is the shape of your jaw?  Rounded?  Square?  Pointed?

Then
   
    3. Do you have a long face or a shorter one?

If You Have a Heart-Shaped or Triangular Face (You likely have a shorter face)

       
A heart-shaped or triangular faces usually have a wide forehead, narrower jaw line, high cheekbones and a narrow chin.
Look for frames that will add width to the chin area.

• Wayfarer or cat-eye styles are great for balancing a triangular shaped face

• Round frames in lighter colors soften a wide forehead

• Frames that are wider at the bottom than the top help offset the narrow chin

Easiest face shape to complement. An oval-shaped face has  balanced proportions, a narrow forehead and chin of equal size, though chin is  a little narrower than the forehead. The proportions being balanced about any  frame shape will complement this face shape.

Tips

• Most frame styles will work for this face shape, maybe start  with particularly geometric or round frames,
  or rectangular and butterfly frames

• People with oval faces often have smaller features, so when  picking frames should in proportion and not overpowering.
